During the past 25 years, Dave has been coaching, managing, and leading individuals and teams. During his near 14-year career with Recreational Equipment, Incorporated (REI), a well-respected Fortune "100 best company", Dave had the privilege of coaching and developing over 200 future leaders in the capacity of Manager, Director, and Vice President. At REI, he set a pace of advancing more quickly in the organization than anyone in the company's then 55-year history. Before leaving REI, he authored the companies first Ethic's Policy, signed by over 6,000 employees which embodied standards and values of integrity, ensuring a commitment that the rich company culture would be preserved in the years to follow.

As a Resident Director at Eastern Montana College and Washington State University, he coached and supervised over 100 student leaders in four years. Working for the Pacific Crest Outward Bound School, Dave led groups of teenagers on 28-day mountaineering courses out of Bend, Oregon, and executives on specialized development courses in the Pacific Northwest.

Dave's lifestyle mirrors that of a peak performance athlete. He has traveled extensively throughout the world in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and South America. As an avid alpine mountaineer, he has climbed peaks in Nepal, India, Tanzania, Argentina, and throughout North America. As a member of the International Coach Federation, Dave has received exceptional specialized accredited training that further complements his coaching background.
